Greensboro, N.C. — I Am A Queen is proud to announce its 17th Annual Back to School Giveaway, taking place on Saturday, August 2, at the Greensboro Sportsplex, located at 2400 Sixteenth Street, Greensboro, N.C. 27405. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and continue while supplies last.
This community event is made possible through a powerful partnership with Greensboro Parks and Recreation and the Greensboro Sportsplex, demonstrating a shared commitment to uplifting families and equipping students for a successful school year.
“Our longstanding partnership with the City of Greensboro Parks and Recreation has allowed us to expand our reach and deepen our impact,” said Alana V. Allen, founder and executive director of I Am A Queen. “The Greensboro Sportsplex has become more than just a venue—it’s a beacon of community collaboration and a space where generosity meets purpose.”
The event is free and open to the public, and children of all ages are welcome to attend. All children must be present to receive school supplies, and parents are encouraged to accompany younger children to ensure they receive age-appropriate items.
This year, the goal is to distribute more than 700 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to families in need. Community members are strongly encouraged to donate items to help ensure every child returns to school with confidence and peace of mind.
