I Am A Queen to Distribute Free School Supplies on Saturday, August 7 in Greensboro, NC

I Am A Queen will host the 13th Annual Back to School Drive on Saturday, August 7, in the parking lot of the Windsor Recreation Center, located at 1601 E. Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, N.C. starting at 10 a.m. until supplies last.

The event is FREE and OPEN to the community for children to come in to receive school supplies. However, parents are encouraged to accompany smaller children to make sure that the right supplies are given. All children MUST be present to receive school supplies.

This year’s goal is to pass out 700+ backpacks and school supplies in donations. Triad community members are strongly encouraged to donate goods in order to benefit families that may not be able to afford these resources.

8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Donation List:

Backpacks, colored pencils, crayons, folders, glue sticks, notebooks, paper, pencils, pens, scissors, face masks and hand sanitizer.

This year’s premier partners for the event include 97.1 WQMG, Protect Your Skull, City of Greensboro Parks and Recreation, Blu’ Cherry Photography.

I Am A Queen has also partnered with local organizations and businesses that include: Footsteps to Follow, Bold 2 B U Community, Angele N Simpson Foundation of Love, Communities Unite Together, OHOP Clothing Brand, Accassions Events and Gifts, Young Adult Reform and the Live Life Foundation.

In addition to their support, each organization plays a critical role in challenging others to give.
